Chadderton, 1975

Rumour has it that, that famous Red Barn was, in 1975, dismantled brick-by brick, timber by timber, scrupulously numbered and reassembled at it’s present location, and is now used as the restaurant that is known as the Red Barn Carvery and Pub. It is possible that you can sit in the place where that mischievous maiden Maria Marten met her death.
